Daywind Recording Studios Talent Contest will be held Saturday November 21, 2020 at the renowned music venue The Pickin Post in Fort Payne, Alabama. Home of the legendary country group ALABAMA. The talent search is limited to the first 45 registrants. The contest is open to all genres however the song content must be family friendly. Prizes

First Place

The winner will receive their choice of:
A Single recorded with Nashville’s Top Musicians plus digital radio distribution to over 3,800 radio stations. The stations play Country, Bluegrass, and/or Christian music.

OR

Two Days of Recording Studio Time (8 hours per day) at Daywind Recording Studios in Nashville, TN  plus 200 digital music download cards.

Second Place

The winner will receive a Professional Music Video. The video will be shot in one location in the Nashville, TN area.

Third Place

The winner will receive 1 Day of Studio Time (8 hours) and 200 Digital Music Download Cards.

Rules

  1. The entry fee is non-refundable under any circumstances.
  2. The competition is plug and play. The stage will have a Bass amp, Lead amp, Drum kit, Electronic keyboard, 4 Standup vocal mics and 1 vocal mic at the keyboard.
    • Drummers can switch a snare but nothing else.
    • The keyboard can be switched.
    • Amp settings cannot be changed, volumes must be regulated from the instruments or pedal boards.
    • If you are singing with a soundtrack, you must provide your own media player. A mini phono jack will be provided into the sound system.
  1. You have exactly 3 minutes to set-up and 4 minutes to sing.
  1. No testifying or song description. You will simply state your name, where you are from and the title of your song. No member introductions.

Contest Overview:
The contestant performances will be judged by a panel. The panel will select 3 finalists. A concert will be held in the evening with two noncompeting artists. Between the first and second artist, each finalist will perform 1 song. This time the finalists will be judged on social media. Prizes will be awarded at the end of the concert.

Special note: Only the three finalist may attend the evening concert without purchasing a ticket.
